Job Description

As a Senior Data Transfer Developer, you will design, build, and evolve robust data transfer systems and interfaces that ensure accurate, secure, and efficient data exchange across MEDFAR’s ecosystem. You will work with complex healthcare data, contribute to architectural decisions, and promote best practices to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the architecture and evolution strategy for data transfer tools and integration platforms
  • Analyze, design, and plan development of data transfer applications and interfaces
  • Develop maintainable, reusable, and scalable solutions optimized for performance and available resources
  • Ensure efficient processing of complex healthcare data across systems
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver integration solutions aligned with business needs
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data transfer processes to ensure reliability and performance
  • Promote and enforce best practices, coding standards, and modern technologies within the team
  • Mentor and influence team members to continuously improve technical quality
  • Communicate technical challenges, risks, and progress clearly to stakeholders
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, software engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, including solving complex technical problems
  • Strong proficiency in C# and SQL (Lua is an asset)
  • Experience with healthcare standards such as FHIR, HL7, and CDS
  • Strong knowledge of data formats: XML, CSV, JSON, SQL, MySQL
  • Solid experience across the full software development lifecycle (end-to-end)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
  • Passion for processing complex data, especially in the healthcare domain
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced, and client-focused environment
  • Fluency in French and English (spoken and written)

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with large-scale data integration or interoperability systems
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation tools
  • Experience working in healthcare or regulated environments
  • Knowledge of performance optimization for data-heavy applications
