Job description

Job Title: Enterprise Systems Operations & Data Analyst
Role Overview
We are seeking an Enterprise Systems Operations & Data Analyst to join our team dedicated to the stability and performance of our mission-critical application environment. You will be the primary troubleshooter for our application-to-infrastructure interfaces, ensuring that data flows seamlessly across our ecosystem.
This role sits at the intersection of development and infrastructure. You will diagnose performance faults, build scheduling scripts, and optimize data processing workflows to ensure our systems meet their strict service-level agreements (SLAs). If you are an analytical problem-solver who enjoys bridging the gap between raw data and operational stability, this is the perfect role for you.
Key Responsibilities
Application Support & Data Integrity
• System Operations: Execute planned and ad-hoc corrective maintenance to sustain continuous system uptime. Analyze application interfaces, maintain database health, and ensure data consistency across the environment.
• Incident Resolution: Diagnose, isolate, and correct data/performance faults. Identify discrepancies in collected/processed data and lead the resolution of incidents, escalating to senior engineering staff only when necessary.
• Process Automation: Create and maintain scheduling scripts and SQL-based automation tools to reduce manual toil and improve system response times.
Documentation & Stakeholder Collaboration
• Standardization: Develop and maintain technical system documentation, runbooks, and playbooks. Adhere strictly to enterprise coding guidelines and database standards to ensure long-term maintainability.
• Business Liaison: Translate technical performance data into non-technical communications for business stakeholders. Provide professional progress updates and recommendations for procedure enhancements.
• Project Support: Assist in defining business requirements for new features, developing conversion plans, and validating system specifications in collaboration with internal departments.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Experience Baseline: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in application support, infrastructure operations, and technical analysis.
• Technical Mastery:
oDatabase: Strong SQL skills; experience creating and optimizing queries.
oInfrastructure: Working knowledge of Linux server environments, network basics, and Oracle or similar enterprise-grade database platforms.
oScripting/Logic: Ability to write and maintain scheduling scripts to automate operational tasks.
• Problem-Solving: Exceptional ability to isolate complex faults in large-scale, integrated systems.
Preferred Attributes
• Proven ability to work in an environment with strict "SLA" or uptime metrics.
• A "consultative" approach to operations-someone who not only fixes bugs but proposes systemic procedural improvements.
• High proficiency in written/verbal communication, with a track record of interacting effectively with non-technical business partners.
