BASIC PURPOSE:

The Senior Technology and Data Analyst acts as a subject matter expert and plays a critical role in managing technology solutions and analyzing data for the Community Investment Services Department. Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining data systems and analytical tools to support decision-making, reporting, and compliance. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with Information Technology, external vendors and cross-functional teams to develop departmental systems, reports and automation tools.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Technology Integration:

  • Develops an advanced understanding of the department's technology and related databases and works with management to design new functionality, develop and implement system enhancements and provide technical solutions to business problems.
  • Provides subject matter expertise and guidance on the adoption of new technologies and tools, while thinking strategically and holistically about current and future requirements.
  • Work with the Manager of Technology and Data Analytics to design and implement technology solutions that enhance data management and reporting processes.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and technology integration to streamline workflows.
  • Lead the testing and deployment of new tools and systems, ensuring they meet user needs and compliance standards. Develop test plans and collaborates with system users to conduct user acceptance testing.
  • Creates training plan for staff, updates training manuals and procedures
  • Leads collaboration efforts with Information Technology and other areas to manage project implementations and back-end integrations.
  • Collaborates with staff and Information Technology for production system support which includes analyzing root causes and proactively addressing recurring issues.

Data Reporting and Analytics:

  • Facilitates the reporting of ad hoc, quarterly, semi-annual and annual regulatory reports for submission to management, regulators (Federal Housing Finance Agency), board of directors and other governing bodies.
  • Facilitates and leads department-wide elaboration sessions with key stakeholders, and documents requirements for new and/or existing departmental reports.
  • Develops key reports, presentations, dashboards and visual insights that drive business outcomes using relevant software in Adobe, MS Office and PowerBI.
  • Assists management in reporting production levels, risk levels, and emerging trends to the board of directors, senior management and external parties (auditors, regulators).
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities to improve program performance and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency by implementing quality control processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define data requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Project Management:

  • Manage multiple data-related projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with department goals.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior analysts and data specialists.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams, including information technology, accounting, corporate communications and member, sales and trading to ensure data needs are met.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • SQL: Advanced skills in SQL with ability to read, write and modify SQL queries, and manipulate structured data from disparate databases and EDW to analyze data trends and share insights.
  • Data Visualization: Advanced skills in Power BI and/or Tableau to develop and create interactive reports and dashboards
  • Advanced Excel skills, including experience with macros and pivot tables, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously with little or no supervision, while ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Research skills and an understanding of project management lifecycles are preferred.
  • Detailed oriented and highly organization
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

A bachelor's degree in Data science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting and/or five to seven years of experience in a related field. A master's degree preferred.

Work Location:This individual must reside within commuting distance from ourAtlanta, GAoffice. This position may not be filled in New Jersey, either in-person or remotely.

Work Schedule:Onsite with an opportunity to work remote partially.
