PROCESS ENGINEER

This position is based in Mansonville, located in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, Canada. As such, it is essential that the candidate reside within close proximity to the office

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Process Engineer to join our team at Nexkemia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving the department's productivity, quality, safety, and environmental results through continuous improvement projects. You will also be involved in solving daily production issues and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improve the department's productivity, quality, safety, and environmental results through continuous improvement projects.
  • Participate in solving daily production problems.
  • Ensure that all safety, quality, and environmental rules are followed.
  • Update procedures and develop new ones as needed. Provide training to production employees to ensure compliance with procedures.
  • Provide support to minimize operating costs.


Required Skills:

  • Degree in chemical engineering or a similar field, or an equivalent combination of work experience and training.
  • Minimum of 1 to 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques to maximize efficient manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in using machines and tools used in manufacturing.
  • Mastery of computer tools such as the Office suite and a good understanding of programming in C language.
  • Ability to work effectively, courteously, and respectfully with colleagues and other staff members.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Must be able to speak French
  • Familiarity with workplace safety requirements and procedures.
