Job description

CNC Operator – 5 Axis Milling, Waterjet Deburr, Leak testing

No Prior Experience Required – We Will Train the Right Person

At Hart Precision Machining, we’ve built our reputation over 60+ years by delivering high-quality precision machined components for demanding industries like aerospace, automotive, agricultural, and more. We run tight tolerances, value reliability, and take pride in every part we produce.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Arrives on time and ready to work every day
  • Takes ownership of their work and their machine
  • Finds satisfaction in producing accurate, high-quality parts
  • Is eager to learn new skills and improve processes
  • Shows initiative by solving problems and stepping up when needed

If these qualities describe you, we’d like to hear from you—even if you’re new to CNC machining. No résumé is required. Simply answer the questions below in your application. We read every response carefully.

Application Questions:

  1. Tell us about the last time you needed to be somewhere at a specific time (work, school, appointment, etc.). What steps did you take to make sure you arrived on time?
  2. Describe something you’ve fixed, improved, or taken care of on your own (a tool, vehicle, household item, etc.) without being asked. Why did you decide to do it?
  3. If a machine stops mid-run and the manual isn’t helpful, what would be your first steps to troubleshoot and get it running again?
  4. What is one thing you’ve learned recently—outside of work or school—just because you were interested in it?
  5. If we brought you on board, what’s the first thing you’d want to learn or understand about our shop and how we operate?

Our hiring platform will reach out to you to answer these questions.

What we offer:

  • Starting pay: $18-25/hour + overtime opportunities
  • Full benefits package after 60 days (401K, healthcare, PTO, dental and vision)
  • On-the-job training in a stable, experienced shop environment

We appreciate your interest in joining the Hart Precision Machining team. Only those whose responses align with our values will be contacted for an interview.
