Job description

University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine

A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the Department of Physiology and Cell Biology at the University of Nevada Reno, School of Medicine, to study the involvement of cholesterol and lipid metabolism in the pathogenesis of inherited peripheral neuropathies.

Required qualifications:

  • Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in the field of neuroscience, pharmacology, or molecular and cell biology obtained within 5 years of start date.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong record of productivity from previous training.
  • A thorough knowledge in molecular and cellular biology, and/or neuroscience is essential.

Preferred qualifications:

  • The applicant should have a high level of independence in the design and execution of in vitro and in vivo experiments, the collection and analysis of data, and preparation of manuscripts.

Compensation grade: Postdoctoral Scholar. Salary will be commensurate with years of experience and qualifications.
