Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Neuro ICU/SICU RN with Trauma Level One and Epic EMR experience for a day shift travel assignment in Albany, NY.

Details
  • Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care unit setting
  • Cares for trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients
  • Trauma Level One facility
  • 13-week assignment with day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
  • Every other weekend required
  • Rotating holiday coverage required
  • 48 hours per week may be available for interested candidates
  • Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
  • Active NY RN license required
  • BLS certification from AHA or RQI required
  • 2 years of recent ICU experience required, including trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients
  • Trauma Level One experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • US SSN required for consideration; Canadian SIN not accepted
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • Medical exemption (signed by a licensed professional) required for flu vaccine declination; personal or religious exemptions not accepted
  • Completion of a competency test within 24 hours of consideration required
Additional Information
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius are not eligible, specifically those in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington counties
  • More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week period may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks
  • Requested time off must be submitted at time of application
  • First-time travelers are not considered for this role due to required prior travel experience
