Trinity Health Grand Rapids' Hauenstein 3 (H3) is an innovative 34-bed mixed acuity Neuroscience Medical Surgical Unit able to care for low acuity up to non-intubated critical care patients. On H3, we pride ourselves on the neuroscience nursing specialty, focusing on the unique expertise needed to care for this specialized patient population. The nurses on this unit care for a wide range of patients who have undergone complex neurological surgeries and procedures as well as trauma. We are also a designated Comprehensive Stroke Center and therefore care for newly diagnosed stroke patients in need of emergent thrombolytic and neuro interventional treatment. Additionally, H3 contains an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit which provides these patients all types of medical and surgical care options. On H3, specialized training and education is provided during a comprehensive orientation and available thereafter continually for neuro nursing expertise.

What you will work:

  • Full time

  • 3 - 12 hour shifts

  • Every 3rd weekend rotation

  • Night shift

Position Summary:

Registered Nurse, RN works in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidenced based medicine and individualized patient care. A Registered Nurse, RN is expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience.

What Registered Nurse, RN will need:

  • Graduation from an accredited Nursing school and program

  • Associate degree in nursing required, BSN preferred.

  • In Grand Rapids if ADN must enroll in BSN program within 6 months of hire and complete in 4 years of hire

  • Licensed in the State of Michigan

  • BLS certification American Heart Association

  • Experience in a healthcare setting

  • Experience in an acute health care setting preferred
