Job description

Baptist Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Neuro Surgical Services to lead surgical operations at Baptist Jacksonville. This leader will play a critical role in advancing operational excellence, enhancing patient outcomes, and supporting strategic growth initiatives within Neuro Surgical Services.

Director, Neuro Surgical Services Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement departmental goals, standards, and objectives that align with the strategic vision and mission of Baptist Health, with a strong focus on Neuro Surgical Services.
  • Partner with physicians, nursing leadership, surgical teams, and key stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high‑quality, patient-centered care.
  • Lead and support employee engagement initiatives, including performance management, staff development, coaching, mentoring, and conflict resolution.
  • Collaborate with administration and Surgical Services leadership to drive operational growth strategies, improve OR efficiency, recruit and retain top talent, and evaluate both capital and operational needs.
  • Monitor departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, vendor relationships, and contractual agreements to ensure operational effectiveness and fiscal responsibility.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and excellence across the department.
Director, Neuro Surgical Services Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required
  • Doctorate degree (PhD, DNP, or related field) preferred
  • 3–5 years of Surgical Services leadership experience required
  • Experience leading Neuro Surgical Services or complex perioperative operations preferred
Licensure & Certifications:
  • Current Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) required
  • Nurse Executive Board Certification (NE-BC) preferred
  • Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - State Nursing Boards
