Overview

Under the direction of the IT Manager, the Systems Administrator I is responsible for maintaining and supporting the credit unions IT infrastructure including server management, network administration and ensuring the overall health and performance of IT systems. The Administrator will troubleshoot, solve problems efficiently, and provide technical support to end-users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
  • Support Microsoft Windows and LINUX servers within a VMWare virtualization environment including server applications, databases.
  • Provide system security and performance administration based on access control reporting, internal and external audit review of controls and business area feedback.
  • Diagnose, troubleshooting, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary.
  •  Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software.
  •  Manage user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best practices.
  •  Evaluate and recommend new technologies and systems to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Document system performance, service levels, and other key metrics.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and colleagues.
  • Stay current with technological advances and industry trends.
