Job description

Copley Hospital, located in Morrisville/Stowe VT, is in search for a Server and Network Administrator to join our Information Technology team! Under the direction of the VP of Technology and Chief Information Officer, this position takes the lead in maintaining the server and network infrastructure of the organization across multiple locations.  Works to ensure uptime of mission-critical applications. Serves as an escalation engineer for troubleshooting server and PC issues. Acts as a mentor for other staff by providing guidance and training as well as modeling industry best practices.

This is a Full-Time position (PT available).

Compensation: $28-33/hour.

The posted salary range reflects compensation for candidates with limited experience. An offer may vary based on factors such as experience, education, skills, internal equity, and market data. An offer of employment may be outside of the posted range based on those factors.


  • Provides support for servers and network hardware and software including planning, designing, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.  Maintains CPSI, eCW, ePD, PACS and other clinical and business systems.  Acts as a liaison to vendors for technical support.  Provides routine and urgent system maintenance and repair.  Some work will be done outside business hours to minimize disruption to normal operations.
  • Responsible for server and network backups.  Maintains records of backups and verifications with vendors.
  • Provides support and performs maintenance on VoIP phone system.
  • Supports proprietary and industry standard interfaces between clinical equipment, servers, and outside entities.
  • Maintains employee and departmental security levels.
  • Provides application training to individuals and groups in formal and informal settings.
  • Assumes special projects and documents appropriately.
  • Provides enterprise wide support for clinical, business, and ancillary applications.
  • Provides coverage for helpdesk functions.
  • Provides on-call coverage by participating in a rotating schedule (including holidays).
  • Provides backup telemedicine technical support.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the routine and emergency operations of the IT department and Copley Health Systems, Inc.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technology related field or Associates Degree and/or certification with 3-5 years relevant experience.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of three years in a healthcare setting and/or five years of experience in information systems. Project management experience a plus.

Skills Required:

  • Advanced computer and technical skills required
  • Ability to educate end users and troubleshoot issues in a collaborative, friendly manner.
  • Ability to work with a diverse population of individuals as well as perform as part of a team.   
  • Experience or an interest in learning the back-end of a system including how to build forms, templates.
  • Desire to understand and meet end-user requests and needs.                  
  • Experience running reports including validation of data a plus.                                             
  • Ability to train clinical and non-clinical staff on the functionality of software.
