As our next IT Network Architect, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and supporting a secure, scalable network infrastructure that enables Johnson Electricโ€™s manufacturing operations. You will serve as a technical leader on-site, collaborating closely with global IT teams to ensure performance, reliability, and cybersecurity compliance across enterprise and plant-floor systems.

  • Designing and implementing scalable LAN, WAN, and GAN network architectures.

  • Leading and mentoring a team of Network Administrators.

  • Managing core and edge switching, OT networks, and Wiโ€‘Fi access points.

  • Implementing and supporting Layer 2 and Layer 3 network protocols.

  • Designing and maintaining plant-floor OT network segmentation, including tools such as Xona.

  • Implementing enterprise cybersecurity solutions (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Zscaler, Microsoft Defender).

  • Collaborating with global network teams to deploy and enforce infrastructure standards.

  • Monitoring performance using tools such as Zabbix and proactively resolving risks.

  • Supporting cybersecurity events and incident remediation.

  • Ensuring compliance with TISAX, CMMC, and other security audit requirements.

  • Leading or contributing to IT projects including upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.

  • Maintaining detailed network documentation and operational procedures.

  • Coordinating with external vendors and service providers.

What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, networking, or architecture.

  • 3+ years of experience supporting OT networks in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, SDโ€‘WAN, IP addressing, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).

  • Cisco certifications (CCNA / CCNP / CCIE); CISSP strongly preferred.

  • Experience supporting Windows Server and Linux environments.

  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and project leadership skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a fastโ€‘paced, onโ€‘site manufacturing setting.
