Job Summary
The mission of the Network Engineer is to design, implement, and maintain a robust network infrastructure supporting a large enterprise operating across multiple states. This role ensures secure, reliable connectivity for multiple sites and cloud environments, enabling business-critical operations. This position requires the selected candidate to work on-premises in an office setting.
Job Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure across multiple locations.
  • Deploy and manage routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless solutions.
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and optimize traffic flow.
  • Implement and maintain network security protocols, including firewall rules and intrusion prevention.
  • Collaborate with IT teams on infrastructure projects, cloud integration, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network architecture, configurations, and procedures.
  • Provide Tier 3 support for escalated network issues.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Qualifications and Experience
Experience:
  • 5 years in network administration or engineering.
  • Experience with enterprise-scale or multi-site networks.

Certifications:
  • CCNA required; CCNP strongly preferred.
  • CompTIA Network+ and Security+ are beneficial (preferred, not required).
  • Cloud networking certifications (AWS/Azure) a plus.

Technical Skills:
  • Cisco IOS/Meraki, firewall and switch management (Cisco, SonicWALL, Brocade, Fortinet).
  • VPNs, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, network monitoring tools (SolarWinds,DataDog).
  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud networking (AWS, Microsoft).

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job occasionally operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. The noise level in the work environment is low.
