In this role, you'll lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our network infrastructure while ensuring security, availability, and performance across the enterprise. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll evaluate emerging technologies and lead modernization initiatives, including automation and infrastructure solutions. Here's what we're looking for:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience supporting enterprise-level network infrastructure, including advanced network administration, troubleshooting, and engineering responsibilities.
  • Experience with enterprise-level hardware and software systems and a thorough understanding of network operating systems, applications, and development tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of routing and switching technologies, including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP, with hands-on experience administering Cisco (Catalyst/Nexus) and Aruba networking environments.
  • Strong expertise in enterprise network security, including VPNs, stateful inspection, zero-trust architecture, and Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls.
  • Proven experience designing, deploying, and optimizing SD-WAN solutions, including Aruba EdgeConnect (formerly Silver Peak) for highly available and resilient connectivity.
  • Experience with network automation and infrastructure-as-code, including scripting and administration using Python and Ansible.
  • Advanced monitoring and diagnostic skills, including traffic analysis, packet-level troubleshooting, and proactive network performance monitoring using tools such as Wireshark and SolarWinds.
  • Strong understanding of hybrid cloud networking architectures and experience managing secure connectivity across AWS and Azure environments.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of understanding, evaluating, and communicating complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop effective proposals, executive presentations, and technical recommendations.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial and project planning, including preparing technical budget forecasts, performing cost-benefit analyses to support infrastructure investments, and successfully leading complex network and infrastructure deployments using formal project management methodologies.
  • Proven ability to build productive relationships and collaborate effectively with staff, leadership, vendors, customers, and contractors while considering broader operational impacts when resolving network issues.

Special Requirements
  • The role is based on-site at Behr's Corporate Headquarters in Santa Ana, California.
  • Must participate in a rotating on-call schedule. Provide support for planned network maintenance, system migrations, and emergency troubleshooting during evenings, weekends, and off-hours.
  • Ability to travel as required to offer technical support and project assistance.
