Qualified Staffing in Dalton is hiring a Network Engineer!
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer for a full-time, onsite opportunity in the Dalton area. This position is ideal for a networking professional who enjoys solving complex technical problems, maintaining reliable infrastructure, and helping ensure network systems remain secure and perform at a high level.
The Network Engineer will work closely with the Network Administrator and other teams to support the planning, design, implementation, security, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance of network and technology infrastructure.
Location: Dalton, GA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Environment: Onsite
Pay Range: $25.60–$44.60 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
What You’ll Do
As a Network Engineer, you will help maintain the stability, security, and performance of critical network infrastructure. Responsibilities include:
  • Design, monitor, maintain, and support network systems across multiple environments.
  • Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Support network security technologies designed to protect internal systems and external services.
  • Conduct routine security assessments across LAN/WAN, telecommunications, voice, and network environments.
  • Configure and support routing, switching, firewalls, and other networking technologies.
  • Work with routing technologies, including BGP.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, network records, and Method of Procedure (MOP) documentation.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors to troubleshoot issues and obtain technical support.
  • Track technical issues and service tickets through resolution.
  • Apply Outside Plant (OSP) concepts and procedures when supporting network infrastructure.
  • Assist with infrastructure planning and the development of material and equipment specifications.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, leadership, technical teams, and outside vendors.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and provide support during scheduled after-hours maintenance when needed.
  • Perform additional duties related to network and technology operations as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of networking knowledge, hands-on troubleshooting ability, and attention to detail.
Preferred qualifications include:
  • Approximately 5 years of experience in networking or a related technology field.
  • Strong knowledge of network architecture, design, security, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with routing technologies; BGP experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols, routing, switching, firewalls, VoIP, and OSP concepts.
  • Ability to diagnose technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a technical team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate or lead technical work when necessary.
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and outside vendors.
