Job description

The Opportunity:

The Network Security Operations Associate works in the office and provides networking and facilities support to business and technology partners on a daily basis. You will work with colleagues in the network infrastructure organization to engineer, test, document, and deploy networking solutions with a focus on network security. Work responsibilities may also include facilities work to support the Network Security Operations team. You will report to the Team Leader.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Oversee assigned operational tasks to completion
  • Identify, create, and develop documentation for group
  • Participate in contributing and refining network automation use-cases
  • Create, maintain, and optimize detailed process maps and system architecture diagrams using MS Visio and Lucid suite to align cross-functional teams.
  • Help grow the business through various projects
  • Follow group and firm policies and procedures
  • Identify potential process improvements and recommend solutions
  • Identify escalations and routes appropriately
  • Responsible for properly handling sensitive and/or confidential documents
  • Participate in training programs and professional development opportunities to enhance your experience in network security.

Your Qualifications:

  • 1 + year of experience in a network security or DevOps/Sec
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Foundational knowledge in a software language such as Python
  • Foundational knowledge of next-generation (layer 7) firewall platforms
  • Manage environments by IaC (Terraform, Github, CI/CD pipeline) either in Azure or AWS – Big Plus
  • Basic knowledge of network routing and switching technologies (Cisco preferred)
  • Desire to build a career in network security operations/engineering/DevSecOps.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in a fast paced, team environment
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage time across various tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and visual diagramming software (Visio, Lucid Chart, etc.)
  • Familiarity with NMS platforms and data center software
