Cybersecurity Network Cloud Engineer

About your role:

As a technical fellow for network security, your role you will be responsible for defining and advancing the organization's enterprise network security architecture and long-term cybersecurity strategy. This role serves as a distinguished technical leader, driving innovation, large-scale security architecture initiatives, and the adoption of next-generation defensive capabilities across the enterprise.

You will partner closely with executive leadership, engineering teams, and architecture groups to ensure the organization maintains a resilient, scalable, and modern network security posture across hybrid infrastructure including on-premise data centers, multi-cloud platforms, and modern application environments.

This role requires deep expertise in network security architecture, threat defense, zero trust networking, and large-scale infrastructure protection, combined with the ability to guide and influence technical direction across multiple security domains.

What you'll do:

  • Define and lead the long-term vision and strategy for enterprise network security.
  • Establish architectural standards for secure connectivity, segmentation, and infrastructure protection.
  • Guide the organization's adoption of Zero Trust networking principles and modern access architectures.
  • Partner with executive leadership to align network security strategy with business risk management and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Serve as the technical authority for network security architecture and design across all environments including: Data center, Enterprise network, Cloud infrastructure, Hybrid and multi-cloud architectures
  • Lead design reviews and approve security architecture for major infrastructure initiatives.
  • Architect large-scale security frameworks for Micro segmentation, Identity-aware network access, Secure service edge architectures, Distributed security enforcement models
  • Advance the organization's use of network telemetry, NDR, and behavioral analytics.

Experience you'll need to have:

  • 8+ years of experience in network security engineering or network infrastructure security.
  • 8+ years' experience securing environments across: AWS / Azure / GCP networking, Kubernetes networking models, Containerized infrastructure, Software-defined networking
  • 8+ years hands-on experience with: Next-Generation Firewall platforms (Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, Cisco), IDS/IPS technologies (Snort, Suricata, vendor platforms),Network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, routing, switching), Network packet analysis (Wireshark, tcpdump), VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN), DNS security, Network segmentation and micro segmentation.
  • 8+ Experience securing environments across: AWS / Azure / GCP networking, Kubernetes networking models, Containerized infrastructure.
  • Experience designing and operating enterprise-scale network security environments.
  • Strong background in hybrid and multi-cloud network security.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience.

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Experience in the financial services industry.
  • CISA, CISM, CISSP, CCSP, or similar certifications.

How you'll work:

  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.

Travel:

  • Approximately 10% travel off-site or to other office locations is expected.

Salary Range

$145,000.00 - $240,000.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
