Job description

Job Description A growing professional services organization is seeking an Information Security Analyst to join its cybersecurity and infrastructure team. This role will serve as a key technical resource responsible for protecting enterprise systems, networks, endpoints, cloud environments, and critical business data.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information security, systems administration, and network security. You will be responsible for monitoring and improving the organization's security posture, identifying and remediating vulnerabilities, maintaining compliance initiatives, and supporting both technical teams and end users. This position offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of technologies while helping drive security best practices throughout the organization. Required Skills & Experience
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related IT security role
  • Experience supporting and monitoring enterprise firewall, router, and switching environments
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy administration
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and security
  • Knowledge of vulnerability management, threat detection, and security remediation practices
  • Familiarity with cloud security, VPN technologies, endpoint security, and network security principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience with Fortinet firewalls
  • Experience supporting VMware environments
  • Familiarity with Veeam backup solutions
  • Understanding of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust security frameworks
  • Experience working within NIST 800-171, CMMC, SOC 2, or similar compliance frameworks
  • ITIL Foundation certification
  • Security+, Network+, CCNA, or comparable industry certifications

  • Conduct infrastructure security assessments and implement security improvements
  • Maintain security documentation, standards, and procedures
  • Evaluate third-party applications and technologies from a security perspective
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and business teams to maintain compliance and security standards
  • Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 security administration
  • Monitor network, server, virtualization, and cloud environments
  • Provide security-focused technical support to local and remote users
  • Educate users on security awareness, procedures, and emerging threats
  • Research and recommend new technologies that improve the organization's security posture
