Position Summary
The PREP Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the program's budget and administrative operations, including scholar hiring, payroll, purchasing, and travel reimbursements. This role coordinates program activities such as weekly meetings and guest speaker events while providing ongoing academic, professional, and personal support to scholars.
The manager also develops program materials, including brochures and social media content, to support outreach and visibility. In addition, they lead recruitment efforts by organizing and participating in activities such as attending national conferences, including SACNAS and ABRCMS. The position involves maintaining strong connections across a network of scholars, principal investigators, mentors, and guest speakers, as well as arranging professional travel for scholars as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; at least 6 years of experience 2 of which are management level experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
• Demonstrated skills in student advisement and interaction
• Knowledge of UNM administrative tools and procedures
• Knowledge of UNM culture, Biology and Health Sciences Center and related programs
