Location: Boston, MA (Onsite)

Compensation: $110K-$150K Base + Bonus + Full Benefits

A growing mid-sized IT Solutions Provider is seeking a full-time Network Engineer to join its team supporting a large network environment in the Boston area. This is a hands-on engineering role with responsibility across network implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and ongoing infrastructure support.

The Network Engineer will be involved in a mix of day-to-day network operations and project-based work, including Cisco routing & switching, Catalyst infrastructure, Layer 2/Layer 3 troubleshooting, network upgrades, hardware deployments, migrations, and infrastructure refreshes. You'll help diagnose and resolve network issues while also participating in the implementation and ongoing improvement of the network environment.

We're looking for someone who enjoys being hands-on and can take ownership of network issues from initial diagnosis through resolution. This could include troubleshooting connectivity and performance issues, configuring switches and network devices, supporting network changes and upgrades, and validating connectivity following implementations.

This is a great opportunity for a CCNA/CCNP-level Network Engineer looking for a long-term role where they can stay heavily involved in Cisco networking while gaining broader responsibility across implementation, troubleshooting, and ongoing network operations.

This is a full-time, permanent position based onsite in Boston.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routing and switching infrastructure
  • Support Cisco Catalyst switching and enterprise LAN/WAN environments
  • Troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 connectivity, performance, and production network issues
  • Participate in network implementations, upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure refresh projects
  • Stage, install, configure, test, and validate network equipment for new deployments and network changes
  • Support hardware replacements, software/firmware upgrades, and configuration changes
  • Assist with onsite device installations, rack & stack, cabling, patching, and connectivity when needed
  • Maintain network documentation and collaborate with senior engineers and infrastructure teams on projects and escalations

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of hands-on network engineering experience
  • Strong Cisco routing & switching background
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Catalyst switching environments
  • Strong understanding of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking and enterprise LAN/WAN environments
  • Experience supporting network implementations, upgrades, migrations, and ongoing production environments
  • Strong network troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose connectivity and performance issues
  • Comfortable working directly with network hardware and onsite infrastructure when needed
  • CCNA preferred or equivalent hands-on Cisco networking experience
  • CCNP or progress toward a CCNP is a plus
  • Must be able to work onsite in Boston on a full-time basis

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary of $110K-$150K + bonus
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) and company holidays
  • Company-paid life and disability insurance
  • Opportunity to work across both network implementation and ongoing engineering/support
  • Hands-on involvement with infrastructure upgrades and network modernization initiatives
  • Long-term technical growth and professional development
  • Collaborative team environment with experienced network engineers
