Key job responsibilities
As a Business Operations Manager, you will serve as the connective tissue between strategy and execution within the organization. You will partner with leaders to establish and drive critical business processes, guide tooling development, and deliver operational mechanisms that impact financial management, workforce planning, and organizational health.
You will exercise deep expertise on the key inputs that affect hiring performance and productivity, as well as related metrics that enable performance measurement in these areas. You will earn trust with partner teams such as Finance, Talent Acquisition, and Human Resources, as well as key leaders in the organization, in order to expand mechanisms and strategies across the broader organization.
You will arrange and facilitate events with senior management to advance organizational initiatives, coordinate business activities with external partners, and collaborate cross-functionally across AWS. You will establish and enforce governance across all key mechanisms in the organization, driving operational excellence and holding a high bar for quality of output. You will enforce compliance across AWS' global expense policy and headcount management. You will facilitate key organizational mechanisms such as business reviews, goal reviews, and off-sites, leveraging your excellent analytical abilities, business acumen, curiosity, and superior written and verbal communication skills.
A day in the life
Rhythm of Business
- Own and drive key business mechanisms such as WBRs, MBRs, QBRs, etc.
- Prepare materials, surface insights, and deliver recommendations for leadership reviews
- Organize and drive the annual OP process including arranging brainstorming sessions, document drafts, and reviews
- Partner with leadership to plan relevant offsites; own developing and driving the agenda for both business activities and team building
Workforce Plans
- Partner with leadership to develop mechanisms to track progress against workforce plan goals
- Partner with the BIE team to develop hiring targets for OP1 and OP2
- Partner with Recruiting to track progress against hiring targets and act as single-threaded owner for relevant Recruiting programs (e.g. Bar Raisers, Shadows, Interviews, etc.)
- Develop and drive reporting, analysis, and recommendations on employee productivity
- Develop and drive reporting, analysis, and recommendations on T&E spend; implement and drive any related governance required
Goals
- Drive the annual goal creation process including calendar, workback plans, etc., ensuring these feed into more senior goals processes at the GND level
- Establish and lead the mechanisms, governance, and reporting for goal reviews
- Manage the goals calendar to ensure reviews happen at the right cadence to support upward reviews

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
