We operate a 124-bed acute care facility situated on 23 scenic acres.

This Cath Lab Registered Nurse position is a Full-Time role within our Cath Lab Unit, featuring a comprehensive benefits package and a convenient daytime schedule. The ideal candidate will deliver direct care to adult patients, addressing their psychosocial, physical, and overall needs in the procedural and interventional context. Effective communication with physicians and team members regarding patient conditions is essential. Responsibilities include assessing the procedure room for equipment readiness, assisting in the procurement of necessary supplies, and ensuring the cardiovascular lab team's requirements are met. The nurse will monitor, position, and assist patients during procedures, as well as administer moderate sedation under physician supervision. Participation in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives is also expected.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the admission, recovery, and discharge processes for patients in the Cardiovascular Lab.
  • Deliver direct patient care, assess outcomes, collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed, and modify nursing care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Exhibit understanding of growth and development principles across the lifespan, providing age-appropriate care tailored to the patient population served. Interpret patient data to identify specific needs based on age and deliver necessary care.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Valid nursing license in Nevada.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification required.
  • At least one year of experience in an acute care environment is mandatory.
  • Two years of telemetry experience is preferred.
  • Experience in a Cath Lab is advantageous.
  • One year of full-time or three years of part-time experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
  • Must obtain current POC certification within six months of hire.
  • Availability to take call or standby in the Cardiovascular lab as required.
