What does a network intern do?

A Network Intern assists with the maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of an organization's computer networks. They typically support network engineers in tasks such as configuring routers and switches, monitoring network performance, and resolving connectivity issues. Interns may also help document network setups, perform upgrades, and ensure network security. This role provides hands-on experience and exposure to real-world IT environments, making it ideal for students or recent graduates pursuing a career in networking.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a network intern?

To excel as a Network Intern, a foundational understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and basic troubleshooting is essential, often supported by coursework in computer science or IT. The MultiCare Behavioral Health Network is the largest provider of behavioral health services in Washington. The network includes MultiCare Behavioral Health, Navos and Greater Lakes Mental Healthcare.

Our partnership creates a stronger community-based behavioral health system to offer care that reaches patients where they are most comfortable to receive services — not just in a hospital or behavioral health center, but in primary care clinics, schools, offices and at home.

Navos is located in King County, and provides a broad continuum of care to transform the quality of life for children, young people and adults vulnerable to mental illness and substance use disorders.

MultiCare Behavioral Health provides care throughout Pierce County in an atmosphere of dignity and respect for patients facing serious mental health and substance use disorders.

Greater Lakes Mental Healthcare also provides care throughout Pierce County, offering mental health services for adults and children in Pierce County, as well as Substance Use Disorder treatment for adults, court and criminal justice programs, homeless support programs, integrated medical care and a full-service pharmacy.
