Job Summary:
LanceSoft, Inc. is seeking a Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer who will lead the planning and implementation of network projects. This role involves providing technical support for network-related incidents and ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations while developing and maintaining network documentation.
Responsibilities:
• Establishes network goals and objectives which are consistent with Saint Francis Health System (SFHS) information systems' overall project planning and objectives.
• Provides operational technical support to computer services, application programming, user departments, and outside clients as required to remedy technical difficulties and to meet the service level objectives.
• Provides technical planning for users, information services, and network services departments.
• Performs business hours and after hours on-call responsibilities as required.
• Performs site visits and support work across hospital campuses and remote clinic locations as needed.
• Plans, designs, configures, and implements network software/hardware with minimal impact to overall network availability and performance.
• Designs and ensures the functional, operational and administrative, requirements and specifications for networks are met in accordance with institutional and departmental policy and procedures.
• Plans, implements, and ensures that network software systems are maintained at optimum levels of product maintenance as specified by respective vendors, and as appropriately enhanced for use at Saint Francis Health System.
• Develops and maintains complete standards and documentation for networking hardware, software architecture, and configurations.
• Decision Making: Independent judgment in making decisions involving non-routine problems under general supervision.
• Coordinates activities of others (does not supervise).
• Leads others in same work performed (does not supervise).
• Works directly with patients and/or customers.
• Works with internal and/or external customers via telephone or face to face interaction.
• Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
• Works frequently with individuals at Director level or above.
• Maintains a work knowledge of the CD-10 and CPT/HCPCS coding principles and the AMS/CMS documentation guidelines.
• Works with revenue producing departments to ensure consistency with charged master and charge capture process including accurate descriptions, coding additions, deletions, pricing, revenue codes and any other changes.
• Collaborates with Finance, Revenue Recognition and Performance Service departments to perform applicable analysis to understand budget variances. Net revenue change and labor impact of proposed changes to chargemaster.
• Maintains working knowledge of revenue cycles process to aid in the implementation of regulatory standards that assist the organization in cash collection while accurately complying with billing guidelines.
• Responsible for menu code and coding assignment of all new items or services throughout Laboratory Services.
• Stays current with applicable government rules and regulations, payer changes and compliance, billing, integrity resources and information.
• Solves charging and building problems by researching and analyzing end to end workflow across LIS and HRE.
• Serves as resource to support problem solving around interface testing. Workflow design and charge testing and other billing and charge related issues.
• Act as a laboratory subject matter expert by identifying and evaluating CPT code changes, establishes new line items and charges, and provides education to operational leaders.
• Coordinates with internal lab operations practice managers, central billing office, CBOE, etcetera to address operational issues that are contributing to denials.
• Cox deliberately and systematically under pressure and projects confidence and a positive role model attitude.

Qualifications:
Required:
• Minimum three (3) years related experience.
• Solid knowledge and in-depth understanding of Windows workstation support, Transmission Control Protocol (TCP)/Internet Protocol (IP) transport, routing protocols, physical network design and troubleshooting, use of network diagnostic tools and Microsoft networking protocols.
• High-level knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies, including networking (Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), and server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux, Unix).
• Some knowledge of modern data center architectures including Ethernet Virtual Private Network (EVPN), Virtual Extensible LAN (VXLAN), and spine-leaf designs.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise security integration, including firewalls, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), Network Access Control (NAC), and zero-trust frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and performance management tools, such as SolarWinds, Splunk, Wireshark, and Microsoft System Center, with the ability to design proactive monitoring and alerting strategies.
• Knowledge of automation tools, such as Python and Ansible, to streamline provisioning, configuration management, and system scaling.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal that present clear and concise information.
• Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to mentor engineers, present infrastructure strategies, and collaborate with executives, stakeholders, and vendors.
• Skills in capacity planning, High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), and business continuity design, ensuring resilient and redundant systems to support critical operations.
• Effective ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner with the ability to perform under stress in emergency situations.
• Strong ability to perform detailed network research as required to provide effective network support.
• High-level ability to troubleshoot and utilize diagnostic expertise across multi-vendor, complex enterprise environments.
• Ability to lead large-scale infrastructure projects, balancing performance, cost, and security considerations, while aligning designs with organizational requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field.
• Valid driver’s license, Motor Vehicle Report and proof of vehicle liability insurance in the amount required by SFHS guidelines.

• Three (3) years of large network infrastructure (>1000) support experience.
• Aruba Certified Associate - Mobility (ACA - Mobility).
