About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Network Security Administrator / Cyber Security Administrator to support enterprise network security operations for a large-scale government environment. This role is responsible for administering, configuring, and maintaining secure network infrastructure while supporting firewall operations, security compliance, infrastructure modernization, and incident resolution.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls, Cisco ASA Firewalls, VPN technologies, and enterprise network security administration. This is a remote position, however only candidates currently residing in Colorado will be considered.
ResponsibilitiesReview, implement, and manage firewall service requests, security policies, change requests, and network security configurations.
Configure, administer, and troubleshoot Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls, Cisco ASA Firewalls, NAT, Security Zones, VPNs, and firewall rule management.
Troubleshoot network security incidents, resolve break-fix issues, and support enterprise infrastructure modernization initiatives.
Support firewall hardware lifecycle activities, End-of-Life (EOL) replacement projects, and security compliance requirements.
Maintain technical documentation, participate in scheduled maintenance activities, and provide weekly on-call support while collaborating with cross-functional IT and security teams.
Must be a current Colorado resident (Local Candidates Only).
Minimum 8+ years of Network Security, Cyber Security, or Firewall Administration experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco ASA Firewalls, Site-to-Site VPN, NAT, Security Policies, Routing, TCP/IP, and Network Troubleshooting.
Experience supporting network security compliance, firewall security controls, infrastructure security, and enterprise network environments.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to support after-hours maintenance and participate in an on-call rotation.
