Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in network planning, network design, data center design, or network deployments.

As the Network Delivery and Implementation (NDI) Training and Onboarding Program Manager, you will own the training and onboarding programs within NDI. You will accelerate the readiness of new hires within Google's global network infrastructure team. You will own and drive a program designed to enable new hires to achieve independent network deployment capabilities quickly, consistently, and safely. You will have a blend of program management expertise, technical understanding of network deployment, and a passion for continuous improvement. You will work cross-functionally, influencing stakeholders and leveraging tools and automation to enhance the onboarding and upskilling experience, ultimately contributing to faster and more efficient network delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the training and onboarding curriculum, ensuring comprehensive coverage of NDI processes, tools and safety standards.
  • Lead and independently manage the end-to-end lifecycle of the network delivery implementation fast track program, critical to onboarding and upskilling network engineers.
  • Define the program roadmap, goals (OKRs), and success metrics aligned with NDI objectives.
  • Develop and manage the NDI mentor pool, facilitating pairings and feedback mechanisms to support new hire development.
  • Apply technical judgment to understand network deployment details, assess trade-offs, and guide program direction effectively with engineering partners.
