Job Summary:
Cymertek Corporation is seeking a talented Forensics Scripting Developer to join their team and create innovative tools for forensic analysis and investigation. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize scripts and applications to automate processes and analyze data, working closely with forensic analysts to solve complex challenges.
Responsibilities:
• Develop custom forensic scripts for analysis
• Automate data extraction and parsing tasks
• Collaborate with forensic analysts to identify scripting needs
• Optimize and troubleshoot existing scripts
• Document and maintain script libraries
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards in forensics
Qualifications:
Required:
• Proficiency in Python or PowerShell
• Knowledge of forensic tools (e.g., EnCase, FTK)
• Familiarity with file system structures and data recovery techniques
• Experience with data acquisition from various sources
• Understanding of digital evidence handling best practices
• Ability to analyze and interpret log files and system data
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science, Criminal Justice with a focus on Cybercrime, Network Security, Computer Engineering, etc.
