Position Overview

Support the engineering, implementation, sustainment, and troubleshooting of secure enterprise and mission networks across Cisco, Juniper, HP/Aruba, and Palo Alto environments. This senior-level role emphasizes hands-on network engineering, operational sustainment, infrastructure modernization, and security compliance in complex government networks.


Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Engineering & Operations
  • Engineer and sustain LAN/WAN infrastructure across multi-vendor environments.
  • Support advanced routing, switching, transport, and security technologies in support of enterprise operations.
  • Troubleshoot network issues, perform fault isolation, support incident response, and maintain reliable network performance.
  • Support traffic analysis, system monitoring, bandwidth optimization, and operational improvements across enterprise environments.
  • Work across routing, switching, wireless, and security technologies to support day-to-day operations and long-term stability.
Security & Modernization
  • Implement secure network designs aligned with DISA STIGs, ATO requirements, and government security policies.
  • Support firewall, segmentation, and boundary protection efforts, including Palo Alto environments.
  • Support technology refreshes, upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
  • Develop architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and implementation support materials.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to enhance network performance, resilience, and standardization.
Network Implementation & Operational Support
  • Execute network changes, maintenance activities, and approved engineering updates.
  • Perform hands-on implementation and sustainment support for infrastructure enhancements and technology refreshes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in coordination with operations teams and vendor support.
  • Support operational readiness and continuity across enterprise and mission network environments.
Requirements:Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • 10 years of network engineering or network operations experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, HP/Aruba, and Palo Alto technologies.
  • Experience supporting secure enterprise network environments, including routing, transport, and network security technologies.
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT II certification required.
  • Current CCNA (or equivalent) required.
  • Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CCNP, JNCIS/JNCIP, Palo Alto, Aruba, or similar advanced certifications preferred.
  • Experience in DoD or Intelligence Community environments.
  • Experience supporting TAC, NOC, transport engineering, or enterprise network operations.
