Job description

Network DevOps Engineer II - Azure & Terraform
Overview / Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Networking/DevOps Engineer 2 to join the Infrastructure team working onsite in Plano, TX. This role serves as a key link between traditional on-premises networking and modern cloud-native architecture. The ideal candidate will have strong NetDevOps experience, a focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and expertise in building scalable and automated Azure environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and management of Azure network topologies including VNETs, Azure Virtual WAN, and Virtual Hubs (vHubs)
  • Develop, version, and maintain Terraform modules to provision corporate network resources
  • Ensure consistency across development, staging, and production environments using Infrastructure as Code practices
  • Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines for network infrastructure automation
  • Reduce manual intervention, configuration drift, and deployment cycle times through automation
  • Utilize configuration management tooling to manage network appliance configurations
  • Ensure configurations align with corporate security policies and compliance standards
  • Provide Tier 3 escalation support for complex connectivity issues
  • Lead proactive capacity planning for cloud and hybrid traffic flows

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field strongly preferred
  • Equivalent technical certifications and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum of 7 years of combined Development and DevOps experience
  • Experience working with Cloud Service Providers, with Azure preferred
  • Experience with CI/CD, logging, and monitoring tools
  • Deep technical proficiency in Microsoft Azure network services including Load Balancers, Application Gateways, Private Endpoints, and Network Security Groups (NSGs)
  • Proven experience developing reusable Terraform modules and managing remote state files
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols within hybrid-cloud environments
  • Preferred certifications include AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Azure Developer Associate, Microsoft DevOps Engineer Expert, Puppet Certified Professional, Docker Certified Associate, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator
  • Experience deploying and managing Palo Alto VM-Series firewalls in Azure and physical appliances through Panorama preferred
  • Experience designing and supporting Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN solutions preferred
  • Experience managing Microsoft Teams Telephony infrastructure preferred
  • PowerShell scripting experience for automation and API integrations preferred
  • Experience using SolarWinds for monitoring and performance metrics preferred
  • Understanding of Zero Trust architecture and micro-segmentation strategies preferred
  • Experience with Cisco Meraki Wi-Fi solutions and cloud-based dashboard management preferred
  • Knowledge of 802.1X authentication and Network Access Control (NAC) solutions using Cisco ISE preferred
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
