Job Summary:
Merge IT is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to work in Wilsonville, OR for an enterprise-level client. The role involves managing complex network architectures and troubleshooting network issues while ensuring customer service excellence.
Responsibilities:
• Experience with Cisco and HPE Comware switching
• Experience with modern campus and data center architectures
• Network analysis and trouble-shooting skills (Wireshark)
• Network monitoring technologies such as sFlow, Netflow, etc.
• Python scripting and automation
• Experience with Client Comware and Cisco IOS / NX-OS, spine/leaf data center networks utilizing VXLAN/MP-BGP, vendor support experience, and deployment of Cisco LAN Catalyst and Nexus, WAN ISR and ASR products.
• Routing and Performance Experience – Implementation and Troubleshooting of BGP, OSPF and QoS/CoS Policies.
• Troubleshooting – Complex LAN and WAN routing, spanning tree and general network health problems. Experience in dealing with Service Providers for overseeing Layer 1, 2, 3 issues.
• Knowledge of switching – to CCNP level preferred.
• Customer service skills – Experience in working with an Enterprise Ticketing system such as ServiceNow, managing incident SLA's and handling customer communications in a polite and detailed manner either via the ticketing system, chat tool or by phone.
