We are looking for you to join our team as a Manager 2 - Contract Administration based out of San Diego, CA. This is an onsite position that offers the 9/80 schedule.

What You'll Get to Do:

The Manager 2 - Contract Administration will lead within the Navigation, Intelligence and Connectivity Division reporting to the Manager of the Fighter Networked Systems (FNS) Operating Unit (OU).

In this role, Contract Manager 2 will be responsible for all aspects of the NIC Division portfoliodelivering successful financial performance, risk mitigation, change management, and customer satisfaction.Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for the direct supervision, management, and success of a staff of 8 contracts professionals.

Specifically, the Contract Manager 2 will lead their team in conducting proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, business strategy, legal requirements, and customer specifications.

The Contract Manager 2 will also be required to provide objective-oriented direction utilizing management guidelines, general policies, and maintain a strong level of engagement, while dynamically leading, inspiring, motivating and developing a team of contract professionals.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of industry related experience in contract administration/management - OR - a Master's degree with 6 years of industry related experience as outlined above.

  • Will consider 12 years of applied experience in lieu of degree requirement.

  • Knowledge of Contracts Administration in a FAR/DFARS environment

  • Knowledge and understanding of pricing principles and FAR/DFARS as well as associated Federal Contracting regulations.

  • Background in DoD contracting with prior experience with the USG and/or major defense contractor customers.

  • Experience negotiating various contract types of varying sizes and types of agreements with the USG and/or major defense contractor customers.

  • Prior experience presenting to all levels of management.

  • Advanced proposal strategy and contract formation experience.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint.

  • Prior leadership experience or supervisor experience

  • US Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business, Finance, or related discipline

  • JD or MBA

  • Familiarity with SAP based systems.

  • NCMA Certification (CPCM, CFCM and/or CCCM)

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $133,100.00 - $199,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
