This role will focus on onboarding and maintaining FIX-based client, broker, venue, OMS/EMS, and market connectivity across equities, options, FX, or other asset classes.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with the FIX protocol, trading workflows, order management systems, certification testing, and production support in a brokerage / electronic trading environment. This person will work closely with trading desks, clients, exchanges, vendors, product teams, infrastructure, compliance, and application development teams to deliver reliable and well-controlled connectivity solutions.
In this role, you will:
  • Implement, configure, test, and support FIX connectivity for clients, counterparties, exchanges, ATSs, ECNs, brokers, OMS/EMS platforms, and trading vendors.
  • Manage full connectivity onboarding lifecycle, including requirements gathering, session setup, message specification review, certification, production rollout, and post-go-live support.
  • Analyze FIX messages across order entry, cancel/replace, execution reports, drop copy, allocations, and administrative workflows.
  • Troubleshoot production issues involving order flow, rejects, sequence gaps, session disconnects, latency, routing behavior, and trade reporting discrepancies.
  • Maintain and enhance FIX session configurations, routing rules, symbol handling, account mappings, entitlement controls, and message transformations.
  • Partner with developers and infrastructure teams to improve connectivity platforms, monitoring, alerting, resiliency, and operational tooling.
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand trading workflows and translate requirements into technical connectivity specifications.
  • Participate in exchange, broker, and vendor certification testing.
  • Support incident response, root-cause analysis, and remediation for connectivity-related issues.
  • Provide occasional off-hours support for production releases, venue testing, market events, or critical incidents.

What we're looking for
Required Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of the FIX protocol, including session-level and application-level messages.
  • Familiarity with electronic trading concepts, order lifecycle, routing, executions, allocations, and trade capture.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting FIX sessions using logs, message viewers, network tools, or trading support platforms.
  • Experience working in production support environments with change management, incident management, and release controls.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work directly with clients, vendors, traders, developers, and operations teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SQL, scripting, or reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with OMS/EMS platforms such as Bloomberg EMSX, Fidessa, FlexTrade, Charles River, Eze, Portware, or similar systems.
  • Knowledge of exchange or market center connectivity, including order routing and drop copy.
  • Experience participating in client-facing technical onboarding or production readiness reviews.
  • Experience dealing with order routing in a global, multi-system environment.
  • Experience working in a Linux environment.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Strong problem-solving under time-sensitive market conditions.
  • Detail-oriented approach to protocol specifications, message flows, and production controls.
  • Clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ownership mindset for production stability and client experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple onboarding, certification, and support priorities simultaneously, where priorities may shift dynamically due to business need
