Job Description:

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Application/Platform Director to lead our global enterprise application and platform organization, with primary oversight of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Office Automation Systems (OA), ERP, and Business Intelligence platforms across all Amphenol HSIO sites. Reporting to the IT Director, this role owns the vision, roadmap, and governance for our application and platform ecosystem, and leads a global team of Application Managers to ensure systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with business strategy. This role requires executive-level communication, strong technical acumen, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across manufacturing, finance, HR, and IT functions worldwide.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Strategic Application & Platform Leadership: Define and own the global strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities for enterprise applications and platforms, including MES, OA, ERP, and Business Intelligence systems, ensuring alignment with Amphenol HSIO’s business objectives across all sites.

Global Team Leadership: Build, lead, and develop a global team of Application Managers and platform specialists. Set clear goals, drive performance management, and cultivate a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Program & Portfolio Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of enterprise application and platform initiatives from business case through deployment and steady-state operations, managing a portfolio of multi-site programs, priorities, timelines, and resources.

Governance & Standards: Establish global governance frameworks, architecture standards, and best practices for system configuration, integration, and data management to ensure consistency, scalability, and security across the platform landscape.

Executive & Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with senior leaders across Operations, Finance, HR, and IT to translate business needs into technology strategy. Present roadmaps, risks, and performance metrics to executive leadership and influence enterprise-wide decision-making.

Data & Analytics Strategy: Champion a unified Power BI and analytics strategy that standardizes reporting and KPIs across manufacturing and business operations, enabling data-driven decision-making at every level of the organization.

Risk, Compliance & Performance: Ensure applications and platforms meet security, regulatory, and industry compliance requirements. Establish KPIs, lead regular audits, and drive continuous improvement across the global application ecosystem.

Change Management & Innovation: Lead organizational change management for major platform initiatives, evaluate emerging technologies, and champion innovation to keep Amphenol HSIO’s application and platform capabilities ahead of industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or Master’s degree preferred
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in application/platform management, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role overseeing global or multi-site teams
  • Proven track record leading large-scale, Microsoft Fabric, Power Bi, MES, ERP, OA, and enterprise platform strategy and implementation within a global manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated success building, leading, and developing high-performing, geographically distributed teams
  • Strong executive presence with excellent strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate business needs into technology strategy

Desired:

  • PMP, ITIL, or an equivalent certification in program/project management or enterprise systems is preferred
  • Experience in the electronics, connector, or advanced manufacturing industry, with familiarity in SQL, Python, and Power BI
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage credibly with both technical teams and senior executives
