Network | Cabling Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a Cabling Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of structured cabling systems within data center and enterprise environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with fiber optic and copper cabling, cable routing, termination, testing, labeling, and documentation. This role involves working on network infrastructure projects, equipment installations, and cable management activities in mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, route, terminate, and test fiber optic and copper cabling.
  • Perform CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A, and fiber optic cable installations.
  • Install and maintain patch panels, cable trays, and cable management systems.
  • Label, document, and organize cabling according to industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot cabling and connectivity issues.
  • Perform cable testing and certification using industry-standard tools.
  • Read and interpret cable diagrams, floor plans, and technical drawings.
  • Support rack and stack activities for network and server equipment.
  • Maintain accurate installation records and documentation.
  • Follow safety procedures and data center operational standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, network engineers, and installation teams.
  • Ensure clean and organized work areas throughout project execution.
