Associated Bank is seeking a skilled Field Engineer II to support and maintain critical IT hardware and infrastructure across the organization. In this role, you'll troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, support technology deployments, and partner with teams across the business to deliver reliable service experiences. This position offers opportunities to expand your technical expertise, lead projects, and mentor junior technicians.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide on-site hardware repair and troubleshooting support for PCs, laptops, printers, servers, IP telephones, ATMs, and related technology equipment.
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain laptops and peripheral devices to support colleague onboarding, transitions, and ongoing business needs.
  • Diagnose and resolve connectivity, communication, and network-related issues in partnership with internal IT teams.
  • Lead or support technology installations, relocations, and infrastructure upgrade projects while ensuring timely completion.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inventory audits, and equipment tracking to maintain operational accuracy and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and user support materials for supported hardware and systems.
  • Support executive meetings and business presentations through audio/video and technical setup assistance.
  • Recommend hardware replacements or improvements based on service history, performance trends, and operational needs.
  • Travel to company locations as needed to support field operations; a company vehicle is provided for business travel.

Education & Experience

Required

  • Associate's degree in Computer Servicing, Network Servicing, Electromechanical Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing PCs, laptops, servers, printers, multifunction devices, and IP telephones.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments, Microsoft Office Suite, and Cat5e/Cat6 network cabling infrastructure.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to obtain HP, Data Card, and Lexmark service certifications within 1 year of hire.

Preferred

  • 4+ years of experience supporting enterprise hardware, Cisco networking equipment, and communication systems.
  • Experience with Apple hardware, technical documentation writing, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
  • Strong collaboration, customer service, and project coordination skills.
