About the Job:
Interweave Technologies provides IT technology solutions for customers throughout the US.  We are currently looking to add a Lead Cabling Technician to our team.  Cabling Technicians are responsible for performing on-site installations of voice, data, and fiber optics systems. Our technicians are client-facing resources of our company that develop high-level relationships with clients through ongoing communications, problem resolution, and quality service.
 
Responsibilities and Duties: 
  • Responsible for coordinating and performing on-site installations of voice, data, fiber optics, CCTV, security and paging systems.
  • Create and provide innovative solutions to complex technical problems.
  • Install voice and data cabling to specifications.
  • Efficiently and accurately terminate Cat5, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling.
  • Must have the ability to set and manage customer expectations.
  • Responsible for reporting to the customer and company management.
  • Must be able to read, understand, and perform project scope of work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be proficient at building out network closets.
  • Must be able to install proper grounding for IT equipment.
  • Perform accurate testing, labeling, and documentation of all cable jobs.
  • Responsible for managing crews, job hours, and material associated with a project.
  • Must be able to determine and manage materials and manhours for a project.
  • Must practice safety standards that meet OSHA requirements.
  • Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
  • Demonstrate a high level of organizational skills and the ability to self-manage and prioritize a dynamic workload.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualification:
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience in the voice/data industry.
  • Displays strong troubleshooting skills in all areas of telecom and security installations.
  • Must be experienced with reading and understanding blueprints and construction drawings.
  • Capable of making sound decisions in the field related to the above-mentioned duties.
  • Should have knowledge and understanding of cabling standards and building codes.
  • Knowledge of PBX/Telephone equipment.
  • BICSI Certification a plus.

Personal Requirements:
  • Requires a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with exceptional problem-solving abilities coupled with a get it done attitude.
  • Exercise the highest ethical standards.
  • Must have the ability to lift materials weighing 50 plus lbs.
  • Successful completion of a drug screening and a criminal background check.
