Job Title: Network Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description:
Seeking an onsite experienced Network Infrastructure Engineer with proficiency in modern informational networking infrastructure systems supporting data centers, lab environments, and program areas in classified/unclassified environments. The candidate in this position will be the primary POC for networks on site and key responsibilities will include managing day-to-day operations of multiple air-gapped and/or interconnected networks spanning multiple geographic sites or in campus locations. Strong experience administering, maintaining, troubleshooting scalable, secure, complex, network solutions with a solid understanding of cross-platform tools is vital for success. This position requires knowledge of LAN/WAN and Data Center network infrastructure trends to support continued growth with a focus on the automation of administration, maintenance, and support of infrastructure compute resources as well as good communication skills to interact with program management, engineering staff and other members to the IT team.
Essential Functions:
Primary Network Point of Contact for the site and/network being assigned
Configuration, administration and maintenance of a broad suite of Cisco/Juniper, Network Enterprise Class and Workgroup Multi-Layer switches, firewalls, routers and IPS's.
Maximize an established networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards, troubleshooting and resolving issues.
Support ICD 503 Risk Mitigation Framework (RMF) processes by patching, hardening, and/or upgrading systems as appropriate
Lead local site IT projects and direct a small team of administrators on these tasks as required.
Coordinate with IT Security as needed to identify, document, and resolve system vulnerabilities.
Develop and promote positive end-user relationships through prompt support and resolution of IT issues.
Track work orders and end user support tickets through resolution and closure.
Strong willingness to keep current and learn new technologies to support future growth.
Interact with our Network Site Leads to address Enterprise issues, upgrades and/or activities
Configure and manage network monitoring tools.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (IT, MIS, CIS, CS or equivalent) and a minimum of 6 years of experience, 2-year post-secondary/AA Degree and 8 years prior experience, Graduate Degree with 4 years prior experience or in lieu of a degree, 10+ years of prior related Networking experience.
CCNA Certification or higher.
Experience supporting CiscoJuniper switches, firewalls and routers.
CompTIA Network + Certification.
Active US Government Secret Clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Infrastructure/ Fiber / Cabling Systems Certifications.
WAN disciplines and LAN optimization and configuration experience a plus.
Experience in Firewall rule management
Project budgeting, purchasing, cost reduction, team management, problem resolution.
Proficiency Infrastructure, LAN, VoIP and Video administration, Workflow planning.
Compliance experience working with Physical Security technologies.
Experience with KG-175 family of encryptors
