SFS is looking for a Senior Principal Network and Services Systems Engineer to provide support to CBL Battle Lab  Facility located at Fort Gordon GA.   All work will be performed onsite.  This contract will support the CBL mission to provide experimentation support to the C- CDID with dynamic network experimentation integrated with CO, DODIN-A, EW and IA through the Cyber Battle Lab’s Experimentation Branch (EB), Environments Support Branch (ESB), and the Army Persistent Experimentation eNvironment (APEN) Cyber Enterprise Service Center (CESC). Position Summary
The Senior Principal Network and Services Systems Engineer serves as a technical leader responsible for the architecture, design, integration, implementation, and sustainment of complex enterprise and mission-critical network infrastructures and service platforms. This role provides strategic technical guidance, leads engineering efforts, and ensures network and service solutions meet performance, security, reliability, and scalability requirements.
The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, customers, and leadership to deliver secure and resilient network and systems solutions supporting business and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Network Architecture & Engineering
  • Design, develop, and implement enterprise-scale network architectures.
  • Lead engineering efforts involving LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, cloud networking, data center, and hybrid environments.
  • Develop network modernization and transformation strategies.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend architectural improvements.
  • Create detailed network design documentation, diagrams, and technical specifications.
Systems & Services Engineering
  • Architect and integrate network services including:

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10–15+ years of progressive experience in network engineering, systems engineering, or infrastructure architecture.
  • Experience designing and supporting enterprise-scale networks.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Routing and Switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
