Centrus Energy is looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Network Administrator to play a key role in supporting and advancing the IT infrastructure that powers our operations.
In this role you will serve as a high-level technical expert overseeing the performance, security, and reliability of Centrus' servers, data centers, and infrastructure systems. You'll work independently on complex assignments, collaborate closely with IT leadership on security and budget planning, and occasionally support cross-departmental technical initiatives. While reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager, you may also take direction from project managers on specialized efforts.
What You'll Do:
โ€ข Take ownership of server, network, and data center performance-monitoring, troubleshooting, and proactively improving system stability and security
โ€ข Install, configure, and maintain LAN components including switches, routers, firewalls, and both fiber and copper cabling
โ€ข Work alongside IT Support Specialists to resolve complex issues and occasionally assist with desktop support needs
โ€ข Maintain healthy server environments by installing patches, performing upgrades, and managing operating systems, web/application servers, directory services, and other critical platforms
โ€ข Collaborate with IT management and internal customers to support a secure, well-architected network and server ecosystem
โ€ข Research emerging technologies, tools, and standards to help drive innovation and future capacity planning
โ€ข Support Operational Technology (OT) networks and SCADA systems as needed across the organization
Who Thrives in This Role:
โ€ข A self-starter who excels with minimal supervision and enjoys owning complex technical challenges end-to-end
โ€ข Someone comfortable balancing daily operational responsibilities with long-term planning and continuous improvement
โ€ข A detail-focused problem solver who values security, reliability, and thoughtful system design
What You Will Bring:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related technical field - or an equivalent combination of education and experience
โ€ข At least seven years of hands-on network experience, or equivalent experience/education blend
โ€ข Strong working knowledge of common network servers, operating systems, hardware platforms, standards, and protocols used in enterprise environments such as those within Centrus' infrastructure
โ€ข Ability to obtain and maintain a Q-level security clearance
