Job Description Process Engineer - Clinton, IAThis is an exempt/non-exempt level position.Position Summary: The Plant Process Engineer will apply engineering principles to new and existing operations with tasks ranging from process design to the evaluation of new technologies. This includes using technical knowledge and communication skills to ensure that safety, quality, and cost objectives are achieved.Job Responsibilities:Work with company expertise and technology partners. Apply innovative approaches as joint effort with Production and MaintenanceAssist new product development and new technology assessmentSupport capital projects and startups, including the ten core Process Engineering competenciesDevelop process simulation models to fundamentally understand and benchmark performancePartner with Production to implement and transfer advanced process control (APC) and optimization applicationsAct as a resource and networking point for engineering colleagues through coaching, mentoring, and trainingParticipate in multi-disciplinary teams to develop standard plant performance metrics and maximize shareholder valueDrive standards for engineering excellence to new levels; capture and propagate best practicesDevelop communication and teamwork skills across functional and divisional boundaries. Potential interactions include but not limited to: safety, production, management, project engineering, energy, cost accounting, process control, commercial, vendors, partners, maintenance, legal, inter-department, inter-plant, research, and corporate resourcesRequired Skills:Strong commitment to working safely, the safety of others, and safe designDedication to continuous improvement and building new skillsExperience with process control, including FLEX and APCWillingness to spend time in plant areas - tolerate extreme temperatures, walk long distances, stand, climb stairs and ladders and move through close spacesAbility to work effectively on both co-located and geographically dispersed teamsGeneral knowledge of codes, relevant standards and materials of constructionEducation Requirements:Bachelor's degree in engineeringRequired Experience:5+ years' experience with plant process systems, but will consider New Graduate Engineers for this roleDesired Experience:Preferred Delta V, D3Excited about this role but don't think you meet every requirement listed? REF:112067BR Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
