These skills ensure accurate risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, and efficient settlement in financial operations.

What is netting in finance?

Netting in finance is a process used to offset the value of multiple positions or payments due to be exchanged between parties. It allows for the consolidation of multiple financial obligations into a single net payment, reducing the number of transactions and lowering credit and settlement risk. Netting is commonly used in trading, clearing, and settlement activities, especially in derivatives and foreign exchange markets.
