Job description
- Own and contribute to the technical design and implementation of NetSuite solutions using SuiteScript 2.x, SDF, and SuiteCloud tools
- Architect solutions that minimize tight coupling, manage governance limits, and remain stable across NetSuite upgrades
- Design and review integrations between NetSuite and external systems using REST APIs, RESTlets, and iPaaS platforms such as Celigo, MuleSoft, or Boomi
- Introduce and champion process automation and development improvements within the technical team, including the responsible use of AI-assisted tools and emerging technologies
- Create and maintain technical design documentation, diagrams, and flow models using tools such as Visio or Lucidchart, ensuring alignment with functional designs
- Work closely with functional consultants to translate business process designs into clear, well-structured technical architectures
- Partner with the Solution Architect to supplement solution design discussions, validate technical approaches, and ensure consistency across projects
- Lead code reviews, define development standards, and mentor developers to improve overall code quality and delivery consistency
- Support release management, environment promotion, and versioning using SDF, SuiteApps, and SuiteBundles
- Design and support reporting and analytics solutions using saved searches, SuiteAnalytics, and SuiteAnalytics Connect
- 5-9 years of software development experience, with 3-5 years focused on NetSuite
- Advanced hands-on experience with:
- SuiteScript 2.x (User Events, Client Scripts, Map/Reduce, RESTlets)
- NetSuite data access patterns (Search, SuiteQL, SuiteAnalytics Connect)
- SDF and structured deployment workflows
- Strong understanding of:
- Integration patterns and common iPaaS tools (e.g., Celigo, MuleSoft, Boomi)
- SQL and relational database fundamentals
- Performance considerations and governance limits in NetSuite
- Experience documenting technical designs and system flows in collaboration with functional teams
- Ability to evaluate and apply automation or AI-assisted tools to improve development efficiency and quality
- Comfortable engaging in technical discussions with customers and internal stakeholders
- Collaborative mindset with strong communication and mentoring skills
