Job Summary
We are seeking a NetSuite Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong expertise in NetSuite ERP and the payments ecosystem. This role will act as the technical and functional lead for NetSuite integrations with payment platforms, including reviewing existing integrations and guiding enhancements.
The ideal candidate should understand NetSuite financial modules, order-to-cash processes, and payment lifecycle workflows, and be able to review SuiteScript, integrations, and system architecture. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, as this role will engage with customer technical, engineering, sales, and functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
NetSuite Domain Leadership
- Act as the NetSuite SME for payment platform integrations and financial transaction workflows.
- Provide guidance on NetSuite best practices related to order-to-cash, financial operations, and payment processing flows.
- Review existing NetSuite configurations, customizations, and integration logic to ensure alignment with industry and architectural best practices.
Payments Ecosystem Expertise
- Provide domain expertise in payments processing, settlement workflows, reconciliation, and financial transaction lifecycle management within NetSuite.
- Guide the design and improvement of NetSuite integrations with payment processors or payment platforms.
- Ensure correct handling of financial events across the payment lifecycle, including settlements, adjustments, refunds, and reconciliation.
Customer Engagement
- Serve as a customer-facing technical SME, representing the company in discussions with customer technical, engineering, product, and finance teams.
- Translate business and payment requirements into NetSuite solution designs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with product, engineering, finance, and customer success teams to ensure NetSuite solutions meet business needs.
- Help define integration patterns and best practices for NetSuite and payment platform connectivity.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of NetSuite ERP experience, including customization and integrations.
- Strong understanding of NetSuite financial modules and order-to-cash processes.
- Experience with the payments ecosystem and payment processing platforms.
- Hands-on experience with at least one payment platform or processor.
- Ability to review SuiteScript (2.x), APIs, and NetSuite integrations.
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, SuiteTalk, or middleware integrations.
- Knowledge of payment lifecycle processes such as settlements and reconciliation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Good to Have
- Experience working with enterprise payment processors or payment orchestration platforms.
- NetSuite certifications such as SuiteFoundation, Administrator, or Developer.
- Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns and scalable API-based architectures.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
