Job description

Works closely with clients in consultative selling mode to understand business requirements, issues, and priorities; develops solutions that advance client's business strategy and goals. Combines sales ability and consultative skills with technical expertise to design complex solutions which include; cloud, server, network, storage, virtualization and business continuity solutions for mid-sized companies to large enterprises. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Consults with client to define need or problem, conducts requirements analysis, studies and surveys to obtain and analyze data, discusses possible solutions, makes technical recommendations and presentations with supporting documentation; may take role of professional delivery of solution.

Provides pre-sales support to Sales team focusing on mid-size and enterprise accounts in areas including but not limited to: Technical solution design and validation Professional Service Statements of Work creation Local and regional marketing support Regional and national event participation RFP response Regional team meetings Consults with clients using different media (whiteboard, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.) to capture and understand challenges and IT/business requirements, ascertains and defines need or problem area, and determines scope of investigation required to obtain solution. Conducts studies or surveys of customer's needs or problems to obtain data required for solution. Ensures successful customer proof-of-concepts (POCs) and demonstrations

Understands and identifies client opportunities based on advancement of business goals and maps those requirements to our solutions (On-Premise, Off-Premise, Hybrid). Coordinates and interfaces with vendors and contract support to ensure strong technological solutions and first-class support, response and availability times. Meets regularly with local Area Sales Director to review goals and performance within region.

Creates awareness of uncovered opportunities outside of Account Executive's particular specialty. Demonstrates and actively promotes an understanding and commitment to the mission through performing behaviors consistent with the organization's values. Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations as well as policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behaviors.

May consider an equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Skills Proficient use of all Microsoft Office applications

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VMware Technical Sales Professional (VTSP). Other related certifications (Microsoft Systems Management and Virtualization, Networking) desirable. Cisco Data Center Architecture Design Specialist, Unified Computing Design Specialist certifications are highly desirable Certifications in server and storage architectures ( HP, EMC, NetApp preferred).
