Job Summary:
MDAEdge is seeking a Data Center Storage Engineer to provide Storage Engineering services in support of the Department of Navy. The role involves designing and optimizing storage solutions, ensuring compatibility with existing infrastructure, and automating storage provisioning through Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
Responsibilities:
• Perform storage engineering design for data center and remote site hardware refreshes.
• Recommend storage hardware solutions compatible with existing technologies.
• Develop long-term storage solutions to meet records management requirements.
• Document data center physical hardware designs (rack layouts, interconnections, power, network, lifecycle, etc.).
• Create and maintain storage configuration documentation.
• Deliver service catalog items for automated storage provisioning (Infrastructure-as-Code).
Qualifications:
Required:
• Active TS/SCI clearance (mandatory)
• Education & Experience: BS/BA + 5 years of relevant experience OR MS/MA + 3 years of relevant experience
• Storage Engineering Expertise: Experience in storage engineering & integration for physical & virtual infrastructure
• Certification: DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ CE)
Preferred:
• Professional-level Storage Certification (e.g., NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure Storage)
• ITIL Foundations certification (preferred)
