What You'll Do

As a Field Technician II, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and safety of electrical power systems by:

  • Performing testing, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical power distribution equipment.
  • Traveling to customer facilities throughout the Nashville region and surrounding areas to support field service projects.
  • Working with low, medium, and high-voltage electrical systems and equipment.
  • Supporting testing and maintenance activities on:
    • Circuit breakers
    • Transformers
    • Switchgear
    • Motors
    • Current Transformers (CTs)
    • Potential Transformers (PTs)
    • Capacitive Coupled Voltage Transformers (CCVTs)
    • Grounding systems and related equipment
    • Utilizing advanced testing equipment including:
      • Megger testers
      • Ductor testers
      • Hi-Pot equipment
      • Power factor testing instruments
      • CT ratio and saturation testing equipment
      • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and engineering documentation.
      • Accurately documenting test results, repairs, maintenance activities, and field observations.
      • Participating in safety meetings and maintaining strict adherence to industry and company safety standards.
      • Building professional relationships with customers and representing the company with exceptional service.
      • Expanding your technical skills through ongoing training and progression toward advanced NETA certifications.
