P1 Service, LLC., is seeking an Electrical Testing Technician for the Kansas City Metro KS/MO and surrounding areas, based in our Lenexa, KS office.

What You'll Do
  • Testing: Field testing of circuit breakers, transformers, medium-voltage cables, pressure switches, relays, and switchgear
  • Safety: Follow P1 safety protocols when working with equipment and in various work environments

Requirements and Qualifications:
Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 years performing primary & secondary injection testing, transformer testing & oil sampling, MV VLF Tan Delta testing, and infrared thermography. (**Experience as an electrician or maintenance technician does not qualify as electrical testing experience)
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
  • This position is represented by Local Electrical Union 124. Must meet their requirements. Applicants meeting the requirements who are not currently IBEW members are encouraged to apply. Candidates with 8,000hrs of documented electrical testing experience may be eligible for entry as a journeyman. All other candidates will enter the program as a trainee based on documented hours of electrical testing experience.
  • Primarily work in Kansas City Metro Area but must be willing to travel nationally.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen.
  • Must be able to obtain DOT certification to tow trailer.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily pass a motor vehicle record check. Must be able to meet our company's qualifications to operate a vehicle on company business. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must possess a valid driver's license.
