What We Look For In a Series 27 Tutor
  • Advanced Test Mastery: Deep knowledge of Series 27 Financial and Operations Principal examination content covering financial responsibility rules, customer protection regulations, books and records requirements, net capital computation, and regulatory reporting. Ability to explain SEC Rule 15c3-1 net capital requirements, customer reserve formula, and FOCUS report preparation while preparing compliance professionals for FINOP qualification.
  • Strategic Test-Taking & Problem-Solving: Skilled at teaching net capital computation procedures, customer protection rule application, and regulatory filing requirements for Series 27 examination. Guides students through calculating net capital, applying haircuts to securities positions, computing the customer reserve formula, and preparing regulatory filings. Emphasizes mathematical accuracy in net capital calculations and understanding the regulatory rationale behind financial responsibility rules.
  • Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with Series 27 examination content and common challenges such as performing complex net capital calculations, understanding haircut schedules, and applying customer protection rules. Adapts instruction using calculation worksheets, practice examinations, and step-by-step net capital computation exercises to support financial operations professionals preparing for FINOP principal qualification.
  • Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
