HOW A SOFTWARE DEVELOPER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Designing, developing, coding, testing, and debugging complex new software products, and making significant enhancements to existing software.

  • Integrating design strategies, product specifications, development schedules, and user expectations into product capabilities.

  • Resolving complex hardware/software compatibility and interface design considerations.

  • Researching emerging technologies to determine impact on application execution.

  • Providing input to staff involved in writing and updating technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials.

  • Troubleshooting complex problems and providing customer support for process specific hardware and application issues.

  • Preparing reports on analyses, findings, and project progress.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience

  • Required Experience: 3 years' experience with at least 2 years' experience in software development including the design, coding, testing, and documentation of software products or applications. Also requires knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures used in software development.
    3+ years of related software development experience

  • Required Technical Skills: CompTIA Security+ (DoD 8570 Compliance)

  • Security Clearance Level: Active Top Secret with SCI Eligibility

  • Required Skills and Abilities: Excellent written communication and technical documentation skills

  • Preferred Skills: Development experience with .Net, C#, SQL, JS, and HTML

  • Location: On Customer Site, Washington, District of Columbia

The likely salary range for this position is $81,349 - $92,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
