SUMMARY: The NET Developer oversees designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining Network solutions to support data analytics platforms, conducts unit testing and troubleshooting. This position fills the gap by providing easy-to-navigate, intuitive tools to simplify data interaction and requires to have an in-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing, and ETL frameworks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Analyze existing reports and optimize them for standardization across the company.
  • Set up and maintain BI tools such as Microsoft SSIS, infrastructure, and integration with company data sources.
  • Create reports and extracts from SQL server and other disparate data sources
  • Analyzing product, market, and share trends to build warehouse data.
  • Develop high availability and highly scalable applications
  • Create prototypes and proof of concepts
  • Ensure solutions are released properly, and each release is documented
  • Translate business requirements and problems into innovative technical solutions
  • Using warehouse data to generate reports to support business decision-making and business performance monitoring.
  • Maintaining data analytics platforms.
  • Create outstanding code in all tiers: user interface, business logic, data access, and database
  • Participate in user research and usability testing to help improve the user experience
  • Evaluating and improving existing BI systems.
  • Conducting troubleshooting on BI models.
  • Generating and delivering quality reports to customers and performing quality assurance checks on reports.
  • Create and maintain unit and functional tests

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Adept at the use of BI reporting tools such as Tableau, Board, Power BI, Domo, Looker, MicroStrategy, Cognos Analytics, Oracle Analytics Cloud, QlikView, Dundas BI, Sisense, Spotfire, Pentaho, SAP BusinessObjects, ThoughtSpot.
  • Understanding data modeling, data schemas (normalized, flat, star, snowflake, etc.).
  • Understanding database operations and optimization for any of the following: Microsoft SQL Server, OracleDB, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, flat-file storage.
  • Understanding data and query optimization, query profiling, and query performance monitoring tools and techniques.
  • Creating and maintaining business requirements and other technical documentation.
  • Possess and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to ensure issues are handled in a fair, consistent manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think logically and troubleshoot issues
  • Motivated to learn new business and technical concepts
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

QUALIFICATION

  • BA in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field
  • Experience as a BI Developer.
  • Experience in data warehouse design and working knowledge of BI technologies.
